Amanda Lajiness is a Michigan based lapidary artist and lifelong festival-goer who found her way to stone after 15 years of managing her husband’s chiropractic office. What started as a creative escape quickly became a calling , turning found materials into wearable stories.

Inspired by the Dirty Heads’ song Medusa, Amanda’s work blends music, movement, and the magic of the Great Lakes. Lapidary, the art of shaping and polishing stone, is at the heart of everything she creates. She works primarily with Petoskey stones (her favorite), Lake Erie and Lake Michigan finds, quartz from her beloved Nelson’s Ledges, and unexpected materials like paint and broken porcelain.

Every Medusa Stones piece is sourced, shaped, and finished by Amanda herself gathered from beaches, road trips, and places that hold memories, then transformed into jewelry made for wild hearts and wandering souls. Custom orders not only accepted by encouraged!
